Installing the ABACUS Analytics Engine on the Server

It is recommended that ABACUS.Console (ABACUS Analytics Engine) be deployed on a server, to which all users/applications that require access to the API have access. The executable requires an ABACUS license key. If you haven’t received a license key using ABACUS.Console, please contact your Avolution account manager,

The steps for installing the ABACUS.Console executable are as follows:

1.Download the regular ABACUS installation package. The link for the latest release can be obtained from the Avolution Community.

2.Run the install package on the server, using an account that has admin privileges.

3.Run the ABACUS.exe program that is in the installation directory (use ABACUS32.exe if your server has a 32-bit processor). You will be prompted to provide a license key. Enter in the license key provided.

4.Once the key has registered, you will need to setup access to your project by either:

a.Checking out your ABACUS Collaboration project (File | New | Checkout from Repository) using ABACUS.exe.

b.If you are not using an collaboration repository or cannot access it directly from your server, you will need to set up a mechanism for copying your ABACUS project to the server regularly. There is an API endpoint to facilitate this.
