Importing types and implementations from a library

 

 

 

 

You can import types and standards from an ABACUS library file. You can also export types and standards from your ABACUS file to an ABACUS library file.

To import types and standards from a library into your architecture

1.Ensure you have an ABACUS file open and the Explorer Window displayed.

2.Select File | Open to open an ABACUS library file.

3.The ABACUS Library will open in a second tabbed sheet in the Explorer window and you will have to undock this tabbed sheet to be able to drag-and-drop from it to the original ABACUS file.

4.Drag-and-drop types and standards from the library into your architecture.

           Note

          If you have a 'child must have parent' constraint, when dragging a child type with a parent type it will cause the parent type to also be brought over.

1.Select File | New ... 

2.Create a new ABACUS file based on an ABACUS library file.

To export types and standards from your architecture into a library

1.Ensure you have an ABACUS file open, the Explorer Window displayed, an ABACUS library file open and the Library Window displayed.

2.Drag-and-drop types and standards from your architecture into the library.
